This legislation strengthened the Commonwealth's red flag laws and updated the definition of assault-style firearms. It also cracked down on the sale of ghost guns and limited the carrying of guns into polling places and into government buildings, while also updating our current prohibition of guns in schools to include school transport.

Climate Change and Clean Energy


Legislation targeting the climate crisis has been accelerating progress towards the state’s goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 by modernizing the Commonwealth’s energy grid, and by bolstering the development of clean energy projects. Legislation passed will continue to support green transportation, green buildings, and clean power production, including offshore wind, solar, storage, and networked geothermal, while creating thousands of new jobs and economic benefits for Massachusetts in the process.

Through the state’s annual budget, the House continues to champion free school meals for every public school student in the Commonwealth. Driver’s Licenses for All


Under this legislation, the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) cannot inquire about immigration status when processing an application for a Massachusetts driver’s license or registration, solely basing the issuance of driver’s licenses to residents who meet eligibility criteria.
